About Carter & Carter – Personal Injury Lawyers Manchester
We’d like to emphasise that if you choose to select us as your team you will be in very safe hands. You will benefit directly from all our years of experience which means you will have the best chance of receiving the result you deserve.
I am the Senior Director of Carter & Carter Solicitors, and, naturally, a qualified solicitor and personal injury lawyer. A Manchester-based personal injury lawyer, I have spent my entire career specialising exclusively in personal injury claims. I have a wealth of experience acting for clients who have suffered personal injury arising out of a whole range of accident circumstances including road traffic accidents, accidents at work and accidents which happen in public places.
I qualified back in 1993 and have always specialised in the field of personal injury lawyer, winning personal injury cases for my clients, ranging from people with minor injuries to those with very serious injuries. The one thing that has remained constant for all of my clients is my desire to bring about the best possible settlement and to provide a really good and personable service.
Unlike other practices that often leave claims to be handled by junior and inexperienced staff, if you ask me to help you with your personal injury claim I will work with you personally. You therefore have the reassurance and peace of mind that your case will be handled throughout by a senior and very experienced specialist personal injury lawyer. Remember I guarantee that you won’t have to pay anything in order to receive the very best personal injury advice and the result you are looking for.
I am a qualified solicitor dealing with both civil and commercial litigation. I have spent my 18 year legal career acting on behalf of clients who are entitled to compensation because of somebody else’s actions or breaches of contract. To date I have successfully secured compensation for thousands of clients recovering millions of pounds in compensation.
Commercially, I deal with a variety of legal issues and litigation for individual and company clients, both Claimant and Defendant, including things such as:
- Commercial Leases
- Termination Clauses
- Landlord and Tenant Act
- Companies Act
- Rent Arrears
- Debt Recovery
- Breach of Contract (verbal and written)
I offer a full service from start to finish including pre-action negotiations, all aspects of legal drafting including Court Papers, Statements, etc as well as representing you and/or your company at Trial.
I also deal with a variety of civil litigation areas including:
- Continuing Healthcare Funding (CHC)
- Personal Injury
- Abuse Claims
- Civil Litigation
- Professional Negligence
- Holiday Claims
- Sale of Goods Act breaches – known as the Consumer Rights Act after 1st October 2015
- Product Liability
- Manufacturing Defects
Cases where other Solicitors have rejected your claim
I have dealt with hundreds of complicated cases where other Solicitors have refused to act for a client because they do not believe they can win or they have taken the case on and then dumped the client when blame is denied.
We win hundreds of cases for clients who have been rejected by other Solicitors and successfully secure them compensation. I regularly receive calls from clients who have been dumped by “big name” city firms who have closed their case as they don’t think they will win only for us to take it on and win. We are not a conveyor belt firm; we will speak to you and personally update you on your case every step of the way.
If you have spoken to one or more Solicitor who has refused to take your case on as they don’t believe that you will win, we are the Solicitors for you.

Julia Carter is the company’s other Director and also my wife. Her area of expertise is employment law. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association which has become the voice of authority in this field. As it is often the case that employment issues arise in accident injury claims, her employment experience and expertise could be invaluable to you.
- Does your employer have to pay you for time off whilst absent as a result of your accident?
- If you are no longer able to work because of your injuries what are your employer’s obligations towards you?
- Is your employer able to dismiss you even if they were responsible for the accident?
- You may be unable to work due to the accident and your employer is putting pressure upon you to return to work – what should you do?
There are clearly a whole range of potentially difficult situations that can arise following an accident in so far as your employment is concerned. Julia will be able to advise you and help you to take appropriate action to protect yourself and your employment rights in these circumstances.
It follows that with Julia’s specialism in employment law, you are able to benefit from a “one-stop” service if employment issues do arise as a consequence of the effects of the accident.
