Claiming Compensation: It's Easy!

Together, we work on your claim in three simple stages. My long experience of no-win no-fee cases and my role as a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel means that I can take you through this whole process as painlessly as possible.
Stage 1 – initial discussion
When you first contact me we’ll have a discussion about your accident and I’ll assess whether it has the potential to succeed. Remember, I often take on cases that less experienced solicitors turn down. I guarantee that at this stage, and throughout the whole you’ll always talk to me, personally – I don’t farm out work to junior staff.
Stage 2 – gathering evidence
I’ll explain what evidence we’ll need to progress with the case. In most cases this isn’t at all complicated, and I can usually do most of the hard work contacting the relevant authorities.
Stage 3 – making a claim
If you have a valid claim, the defendant’s insurance company will usually settle out of court, paying your lump sum in compensation and my fee separately. I’ll advise you whether the amount you’re being offered is fair, and negotiate on your behalf if it isn’t. In some cases a defendant’s insurer will choose to contest your claim in court, which may mean you have to appear as a witness. But the vast majority of claims are successfully sorted out before anything gets to court.
