Boy Dies After Hugo Boss Shop Accident Claims

A 4 year old boy suffered head injuries in the Hugo Boss store at Bicester Village in Oxfordshire amid shop accident claims.  He was rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, but unfortunately passed away 4 days later.

Detective Inspector Steve Duffy of Thames Valley Police, said:

“We are currently investigating the circumstances of this boy’s death and we would ask anyone who was in the Hugo Boss store at around 8.40pm on Tuesday to contact us as a matter of urgency.  Our thoughts are with the family at this time.”

Hugo Boss said:

“Everyone is devastated by this tragic accident and we would like to extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family. All of our thoughts are with them at this time.  We will assist the authorities in any way with an investigation into the accident.”

The owners of the designer outlet Bicester Village said:

“We send our heartfeld condolences to the family and our thoughts and prayers are with them.  The matter is now under investigation and there is no further comment at this time.”

What do the specialists say about shop accident claims?

“This is a truly tragic case and only an investigation into the Store’s inspection systems will establish what went wrong.  Store owners owe a duty of care to the public to make sure people are safe when visiting their Premises so as to try and avoid accidents in public places.
