Kit Kat Chunky Recall After Plastic Found

You’ve probably heard by now that Nestle has taken the radical step of issuing a Product recall on Kit Kats and Kit Kat Chunky bars.  The Kit Kat chocolate bars which have been recalled are:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Hazelnut
  • Choc Fudge
  • Caramel

Just in time for Easter, they have also recalled Kit Kat Chunky Collection Giant Eggs so if you’ve bought one make sure you take it back to the Shop as soon as possible.

Why The Recall?

Reports have been made by a number of customers that they have found bits of plastic in their chocolate which if swallowed could cause serious problems not necessarily on the way in but during the digestive process and when it’s time to go to the toilet.

Nestle’s have said that they’re making the recall “to avoid any risk whatsoever to our consumers.”

Yes, by the Consumer Protection Act 1987 and the Sale of Goods Act 1979
