100% of our abuse compensation claims are made on a No Win No Fee basis which means that you do not have to worry about any financial risk at all as if your abuse compensation claim is unsuccessful it will not cost you anything.
State Benefits
In certain circumstances, means tested benefits can be affected if you receive a lump sum of money arising out of an abuse compensation claim.
If you are in receipt of Means Tested State Benefits and/or Local Authority Support and/or Tax Credits, these benefits could be reduced or withdrawn following receipt of your award of abuse compensation.
What We Will Do
Once a figure for your abuse compensation has been agreed, depending on the amount you are due to receive, we can instruct a firm of Financial Advisors to protect your Benefits position by setting up what is called a ‘Trust’.
By creating this special Trust, you will be able to safeguard any abuse compensation payment so the abuse compensation is effectively ignored by the DSS and as such you will be able to continue to receive the State Benefits.
